London Mini Candle Pack

“When a man is tired of London, he is tired of life.” - Samuel Johnson

The London Mini Candle Pack is a curated collection of three scented candles that evoke the pockets of beauty and buzz London has to offer. Let us introduce you to London Fog, Notting Hill, and Regent’s Park.

The crackle of wooden wicks reveal layers of comforting scents in London Fog; the anxiety easing lavender essential oils sink into a creamy and sweet concoction of vanilla and honey. Outside, rain hits the window and pavement as dusk approaches, groups of people huddled together under umbrellas, laughing as they jump in and around puddles. They're making their way towards candlelit dinner tables and the warm glow of home. Steaming mugs of milky lattes cradled in cold hands remind us that winter can be cosy and kind, a reprieve from trying to prove ourselves and instead offering moments of stillness and togetherness. London feels its truest self in the grey – festive, almost.

And while I think of winter when London Fog is burning, it’s spring that comes to mind with Notting Hill. Mews with jasmine or wisteria blossoming over its bricked arches, inviting you to wander in and stumble upon candy-coloured terraces playful enough to brighten anyone’s day. Tiny streets that meander through the heart of Notting Hill serve up delights around every corner, whether that be warm bakeries serving cardamom buns and coffee, or private squares where kids and squirrels reign. Suddenly, you’re thrust onto Portobello Road and the buzz of London town comes rushing back to you. You see the city bloom with life and you engage for a while, delighting in antiques and market wares. As the sun rests high in the sky, you turn off onto any street and feel hopeful in the lightness and brightness of Notting Hill.

Toward the north, greenery hanging reveals the London of old as 1800s estates (unfinished, but perfect to the untrained eye) find their way into view in pockets of white against a green landscape. Regent’s Park reveals secrets through paths less travelled or else concealed with trees that run alongside them. Life dances and plays along the lake in the belly of the park and people and swans alike flit between grass and water. Deeper into the park, however, it feels as though you’re a child again, playing a game of hide-and-seek and peeking in and around corners and over bridges and ducking behind trees that have seen more stories over more years than can be imagined. Eventually, Queen Mary’s rose garden comes into view with its pops of colour and fragrance, bringing with it a reminder of the light that balances those moody trails through the depths of Regent’s Park.
